What you up to at the minute?
At the weekend I played my monthly residency at Junk club Southampton which was wicked! It is my hometown so lots of extra pressure for me to perform in front of my friends! I'm currently working on a new EP for Toolroom records and am just starting the last track on it as well as working on a few ideas for a follow up to 'Enjoy the Silence' single.
How was India?
Amazing! Slight culture shock with the driving and everything over there ... but gigs wise was really good! The second gig in Hyderabad was probably the best gig I have played... over a thousand people rammed in to the club and I was meant to finish when the club closed at 1am but played 'til 2.30 am! Real good atmosphere in there!
What's behind the showreel mix?
Its basically a mix of my productions and remixes so people who don't know my sound can get to know it really ... it has tracks from my EP's on Toolroom , a very exclusive track from my next Toolroom EP, mine and Abigail Baileys cover of 'Killer', my 'Enjoy the Silence' remix and a forthcoming track on Cr2 records.
Any gems on the mix that you want to tell us about?
Probably the last two tracks ... 'Enjoy the Silence' remix and then the title track to a forthcoming EP on Cr2 called 'Voodoo' are the big hands in the air tracks on this mix .
What's forthcoming?
Gigs wise I'm off to Italy in September for a small tour including headlining a festival sponsored by Diesel! Maybe I'll get some free clothes. Playing Junk again with Micky Slim, that should be great! Working in the studio on some remixes some original stuff and just sum stuff for me to play out .. I've just plugged my laptop up to my mixer so am getting some loops and acapellas together to bring in to my DJ sets.
Music wise there's an EP on Cr2 out in the summer.. As well as a remix of Lenny Fontana and Alex Font and Aboga that I have just done, 'Enjoy the Silence' will be out end of the summer on Toolroom as well as mine and Abigail's cover of 'Killer' that's out on 1980's recordings. Apart from that just working in the studio on new material and some cheeky classic remixes that I want to do.
